Shanghai Composite Index Falls 0.3%; China Life Leads Decline

The Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.3 percent at 2,751.80 in Shanghai. The move follows the previous session's increase of 0.2 percent.

China Life Insurance Co. contributed the most to the index decline, decreasing 2.9 percent. Kangmei Pharmaceutical Co. had the largest drop, falling 5.0 percent.

Today, 1,054 of 1,501 shares fell, while 400 rose.
