MARKET UPDATE |Indeks Shanghai CompositeSaham Cina Shanghai composite
Chinese stocks rose on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index and Shenzhen Component Index closed on the black.
The Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.7 percent at 2,553.83 in Shanghai. The index advanced to the highest closing level since Dec. 18 after the previous session's decrease of 0.4 percent.
Kweichow Moutai Co. contributed the most to the index gain, increasing 2.8 percent. Wintime Energy Co. had the largest increase, rising 10.1 percent.
Today, 1,084 of 1,490 shares rose, while 340 fell; all sectors were higher, led by industrial stocks.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.61 percent higher at 7,474.01 points.
The Chinese yuan strengthened against the U.S. dollar to 6.7509 from 6.7885.
The benchmark 10-year bond was little changed at 3.130 percent.
