Europe Markets Open Higher; Oil Prices Slide Ahead of OPEC Meeting

European stocks opened higher Friday morning, as investors monitored a fresh batch of economic data after the U.S. central bank delivered a bullish assessment of the world's largest economy.
The pan-European Stoxx 600 was up around 0.6 percent to 345.36 shortly after the opening bell, with all sectors and major bourses in positive territory.
Market focus is largely attuned to tensions between the world's two largest economies, after the arrest of Huawei's chief financial officer threatened to derail progress in U.S.-Sino trade talks.
Stateside, Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell said the U.S. economy was doing very well, shortly before the release of November employment data.
