MARKET UPDATE |Indeks Shanghai CompositeSaham Cina CSI 300Shanghai composite
Chinese stocks closed up on Wednesday with Kweichow Moutai Co. contributed the most to the index gain, increasing 4.8 percent. Routon Electronic Co. had the largest increase, rising 10.2 percent.
The Shanghai Composite Index rose for the second day, climbing 1.4 percent, or 34.74 to 2,602.78 in Shanghai. The move was the biggest since rising 4.1 percent on Oct. 22.
Today, 1270 of 1486 shares rose, while 174 fell; all sectors were higher, led by industrial stocks.
CSI 300 Index rose 1.4% to 3,153.82 at close.
The Shanghai index finished the month more than 7 percent lower, whereas the CSI 300 lost more than 8 percent.
The Chinese yuan weakened against the U.S. dollar to 6.9691 from 6.9672. The benchmark 10-year bond was little changed at 3.515 percent.
The MSCI AC Asia Pacific Index advanced 1.4 percent. The MSCI Emerging Markets Index closed at 948.29, up 1.3 percent.
