Stock futures drop, S&P on track for 4th straight decline as bond yields rise

U.S. stock-index futures fell on Tuesday, suggesting the equity market's recent downturn was poised to continue as investors continued to fret over rising bond yields and the implications they could have for equity prices.
Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 132 points, or 0.5%, to 26,413. S&P-500 futures lost 13 points to 2,880.50, a decline of 0.5%. Nasdaq-100 futures shed 35 points, or 0.5%, to 7,357.
Recent trading had Been driven by rising bond yields and interest rates, both of which could signal a new phase in postcrisis markets that have enjoyed a protracted period of ultralow yields.
