Trump Heading to Vietnam to Meet North Korean Leaders
Tuesday, 26 February 2019 09:37 WIB | GLOBAL |Global

U.S. President Donald Trump is heading to Hanoi for his second summit with Kim Jong Un amid hopes for a deal that would lead to the North Korean leader to give up his nuclear weapons.

Trump said on Twitter that without denuclearization, poor North Korea would still experience a "similar" situation. But Trump estimates, "Kim will make a wise decision!"

Sunday night, to the governors of American states, Trump said, he believed that he and Kim "would agree, but that it will emerge in the next few days. In my opinion, two and a half days in Vietnam will be very interesting. And we the chance for total denuclearization in that part of the world is very dangerous. "

Trump and Kim met last June in Singapore, and after that Trump stated, "there are no more nuclear threats from North Korea."

But when he met this Wednesday and Thursday with Kim in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, there is little evidence that progress has been made to establish the special denuclearization requirements promised by North Korea.
