Gold eases for fifth day as equities rally after U.S. midterm elections. Investors are now focusing on Thursday's Federal Reserve meeting.
Stocks in Asia followed a strong U.S. session overnight, with gains spurred by the narrative that checks and balances bode well for returns.
Fed officials are expected to keep interest rates unchanged at the penultimate gathering of 2018, with investors looking for clues about tightening next year.
